Default Violin enthusiasts, players, students, teachers!!

hello..bag.o pako dri sa istorya as a member but dugay nako tg basahan sa mga forums.. i wonder kung naa ba hilig ug classical music instruments dri..specially violin.. i play the violin and this thread would be a great place to congregate all violin players here in cebu.. from violin students to violin teachers... a place to share your thoughts on the instrument, unsa nga method inyo background and some favorite pieces inyu gnahn i play, may it be as a solo or in a chamber group. cello and viola players or any other classical musical instruments are all welcome to join or kung kinsa to gusto mh apil sa discussion.

by the way i play the violin and the viola..though pag hi school nako ni study ug viola. it was a short but intense study coz my teacher was preparing me for a competition. i started sa violn as far as i can remember pag grade 4 nako..nag study ko sa SPSFI also known as battig, nga karun PPP foundation na. my background sa violin is suzuki method. for the viola, more on traditional way man to.my teacher just gave me a certain pieces and etudes to work on, once you know how to play violin man gud dali ra kaayo katonon ang viola.its just a little bigger and sounds deep, ang sound. Anyway hope this short introduction will do. looking forward in meeting kautng mga violinsita dris cebu!

@skoilhp: on other countries, usually ang bata mag start ug skwelA around mga 6 or 7 man. but me personally, mas gnhan ko around mga 8 or 9 na, depende man gud na sa approach sa teacher gud kung unsang method gamiton. With regards of you sir teaching your daughter, that would be a really good idea but dapat sad naa kay background in violin playing, labi na sa proper way in holding the bow and developing the right hand or the bow arm, importante man gud kayo na cya para ma stable iyang right hand nya dli cya maanad ug bad habbits specially in the posture. kasagaran man gud sa mga bata once mao na ila masugdan mao njud na ila maanaran nya lisud na i correct in the future kay naanaran naman, but kung naa ka background into violin playing ok jud kaayo na nga idea kay gwas mka save paka matutukan pajud nmu. kudos to you sir, its really nice to hear from somene nga hilig pud in to classical music.

@skoilhp: mas maayo jud ta sir kung naay mka guide nmu nga kamao sa basics labi na sa proper posture, lahi rman gud kung mag basa ka nya kung mukopot naka sa instrumento.with regards to asa ang school nga pwede nmu i enroll or ikaw ba kha mo enroll, ako ma suggest is sa PPP " Peace Phillarmonic Philippines" foundation dnha sa gorordo lahug, unahn rna cya gmay sa SSS saunan paignun sa lahug. dapit sa tonross apartele, nya kilid pud na sya sa BPI nga bangko. i dont know man gud sa uban music schools dri sa cebu pro as far as i know, ang PPP jud ang nag una ug introduce into formal violin lessons with strict method nga gi apply which is influnced by the suzuki mehtod.

sa baroque and romantic era pud nga music akong gnahn, well tnan era man cguro aside lang jud sa contimporary. but kana jud duha ka era akong permi paminawun. sauna naa man toy guitar foundation dri were they practice classical guitar nya basa jug notes, i dont know naa paba ila group.
