Veritas Backup Exec 10d on a File Server

Does anybody here using this backup software?

Here is the scenario of my backup system, I have file server and another 2 servers where my tape drive installed but haven't use it yet for live
I have backup exec software for windows with continuous protection server (CPS) agent included.
I installed the CPS to my File server to remotely online backup all the database from my servers (note: all servers must have remote agent installed) and Backup exec software installed to the servers where the tape drive is. On the file server after installing the remote agent on each server; the windows will freeze or sort of hang up though still working? I dont know if its matter on compatibility of the OS..im using here win2003 ent & win2000 advance server. bit confused still working on it and find out what was the caused of the error.

share ideas? thanks

Bro try to apply windows OS patch bro and check your evenlogs so that you will know better what caused the hangup. Basin naa blima imo HW system dili ang veritas backup exec.

bro try checking the antivirus you are using as well. we had issues with this before and resolved them by contacting both veritas and mcafee. OS compatibility is not an issue as you are using 10D.

try to remove the backup to the remote servers first. try the backup software on the computer where the tape drive is installed. then slowly extend it to the other servers. this will help you troubleshoot this problem.

Thanks...I have resolved this already by removing anti-virus software on the server where I installed windows remote agent and applied all patches/updates to all media servers and now everything is working fine.
