How to make my PC recognize some Japanese characters?

hi mga istoryans, it's my first time to post here sa Computer Hardware, and I'm not sure if sakto ba nga section ako pangutana...well here it is:

i have a 5-year old PC, using Pentium 4 2.0Ghz processor with 512mb ram and 2 hdd of 40gb and 250gb, i know daan na jd ni xa and outdated na, but still in good working condition and used lang jd for net browsing and music...

question lang nako is:when i browse japanese related websites, like japanese language tutorials online, the japanese characters are not recognized man sa ako browser, it will just appear as 'boxes'...any idea how to make my PC/browser read these characters? naa ba koy i-install na feature or wat?

yes bro download ka ug japanese language then e apil na nimo sa language settings... try to search google lang for many ideas...

yes, ok na xa...downloaded and exe file from microsoft website for Japanese Language Pack...all OK na...thanks sa tip!!

try downloading add-on or plugins for firefox (if you're using that). They have translating addons such as babelfish and googletranslate. google chrome has this built in feature where it asks you to translate a website. you can also manipulate setting ani on what is the default language etc. These features translate the website completely but not very accurately though.
