which is better processor?. AMD or INTEL?.

Right now Intel has the better processor, Core 2 Duo ( Conroe ) it runs faster,cooler and priced at a lower point.

b4 Conroe came out AMD was the performance king for more than 3years.

and yes mas init na ang AMD karon as compared to conroe coz conroe uses 0.995 to 1.2 operational voltage and is on a 65nm processing.

e6300 is the best budget conroe to buy, for 10,700 it beats a 4400X2.. its estimated performance rating is somewhere about 5200X2 ( when compared to AMD )
simply put it this way, AMD has nothing to counter for conroe, but if you already own a 4400X2 and use your rig mainly for gaming its not worth to upgrade to conroe since 4400X2 is pretty fast for gaming.

i agree with earlz, intel core two duo is the best processor currently. the fact is, the E6400 has the same performance with fx62. I am not kidding, its true. If you want to know more about this stuff, you better check www.behardware.com. The title is "Intel core 2 duo test". If I were you i would go with E6400, but if you had a nice budget, you better get at least E6600 or E6800 to rooooock. :mrgreen:

Bai, if you are talking about architecture design, AMD seems to be attractive. Pero very unstable. I guess thats why for "overclockers" out there uses AMD chip. Reality check - AMD is just like a small engine equipped with turbo but in actuality its really small. This creates a very unstable performance if you ask me. Intel on the other hand is a stock engine but really strong. OCing this chip isnt really necessary. FSB isnt all that it is. Lets face it, even Apples are now using intel duo chips. Enough said. Hope this helps.

Other thoughts: People who are on a budget. Old AMD semprons are still cheaper. Yes it can be OCed but not too much, coz it could overheat.

Yes Core 2 Duo has more advantage, its because Intel tied up with Autodesk to make all the program optimizations for their processor. when running AMD processors on Autodesk products it can only use SSE,SSE2 and RAW processing power.. if your using an Intel based products ALL software optimizations are activated for it.
