sori, ddnt meant it to be like that... anyways it means na naa setting ani sa bios na u could force na mapadagan nmo imo memory @1600 using a 1600 capable memory. naa man gud uban motherboard butangan nmo for example 1066 na memory kai 800 ra iya ma detect coz mao ra ang support sa motherboard while some 800 motherboard would be able to run 1066 memory at stock speed tru bios settings lang...or something along that line...

forcing the the mobo to support 1600, is that the same as over clocking the mobo sir or wa ra na g.OC?hehe

^^ it's a bit risky if you force the board to support 1600 or even higher if it's not stated in the manufacturers website or the board itself brad..1600 (oc) means overclocking the memory itself but if the boards supports it, its on the safe side i guess..

fyi lang sa tanan as what i've read amd's am3 was made to support only up to 1333 so its the board who does allow the oc and with the right voltage, tweakings and timings you could oc as much as 1600, 1800 or even higher..basically what this means is if you bought a ddr3 1600 ram on an amd motherboard the default settings will be 1333 when you insert it to your board which is the most safest side and what amd's am3 are made to support..tweaking the bios with the right timings and voltage you could have it oc'ed without any problems, bsod and instability issues..

lahi naman gud ang mga high end mems karon kay dili na pariha sa mga value rams na auto detect most of the time and you don't have to do anything about it (well all of it are autodetect naman pero if you want to make most out of your ram) you have to tweak it to perform at its best.. hope this clears your mind brad..^_^..
