Depende ra na sa imong application nga buhaton...if embedded programming, suggest nako is C or Assembly. If games imo i-develop nga app, C++. If mathematics, image recognition, voice recognition, etc. >> Mathlab...If scientist ka, Python is the best! If you want nga ang imo app kay platform independent, Java is suitable, but you can also use Python. Just a note, every programming language has its pros and cons and it solely depends on your application to develop. And always remember that programming languages evolves or a new programming language is created every year, thus, C/C++ is not the end.

However, if you are a starter with programming, start and understand C programming language, and I assure you, any programming language you'd encounter in the future will be no sweat! Just a two cents advice.

P.S. I decided to reply on this thread even though this was old because I was thinking that even though the thread is old, other istoryans (like marzzz221) would still be brought in here.

depende man na sa imong i-develop nga system bai.. or unsa sad imong gusto..

that would also depend on the designer or the developer itself. if he wants to use pointers, he can't use java right? if he wants to directly communicate with the machine, assembly language should do it.

so, that would really depend upon the need. but with the choices that you have given, I would say it's java. you can develop standard softwares(e.g. desktop based applications), you also have the option of developing Web apps with the use of many frameworks that works with the language. Another is, you can also develop mobile apps with it's mobile apps.

aw. kataw.anan unta kung ang thread topic kay unsay nindut na language? saon man naa may programming before sa language.

    OnT:

kung bag.o pa ka pagsugod lang asa sa C.

if experienced na ka adto na lang sa mga OOP languages. nya tan.awa ang mga pros ug cons then pili-a ang paminaw nimo kay suitable nimo.
