Default need help with my laptop! blue screen

hi guys, i have this 3yr old HP laptop that came with windows vista... i've only updated windows once or twice in the past then recently nag update napud ko. if i remember correctly, service pack 1 man to ako nabasahan na i-install... after installation, gipa reboot ang computer, then updating/installation started to complete... nya after that, it looked like nag scan sya ug files (itsura sa screen kay murag tua sa command prompt gani)... i left it running lang while watching some videos then after hours of watching ka notice ko wala paman gyapon nahuman.. then i looked and saw na mura sya na "stuck" .. ako gi force restart ang pc tungod ato... after that mao na problema... ni prompt na windows wasn't able to shut down properly so gusto ba daw mu continue normally or launch windows repair...

choosing either option would lead to a blue screen with this error number 0x0000C1F5

kutob lang sya sa windows loading na screen then dili na sya makasulod sa windows nya blue screen na dayun..

i tried mag restore nalang ko but the prob is, this laptop doesn't have the restore disc on hand, tua sa other partition sa iya hard drive, and i failed to burn it =/

unsaon man ko ni? naa ba koy mabuhat ani or idala nalang ni nako comp repair shop??

installation probably got corrupted or some files got corrupted...
you need to reinstall the OS or restore some system files at the very least...
too bad you didn't make a backup copy.

what you can do if you haven't is to go to SAFE MODE.
and if the partition for the recovery is still around in your HDD, then use another computer to burn it by attaching your laptop's HD to another PC.

i had an HP laptop (dv6000z, 64bit) and had a similar problem. what i did:

    - backed up all files from the current hard disk using another computer
    - changed OS and downloaded compatible drivers through the HP website

the change of OS (back to Windows XP during that time when Win7 wasn't around yet) was THE GREATEST solution because Windows Vista just sucked on my HP laptop.

you might want to try this, How to work around Stop Error 0x0000C1F5 on a Windows Vista-based computer

basically you'll need a Windows 7 Beta or later Windows 7 installation disk, the procedure says just boot then cancel out Windows7 setup. Once booted successfully, you're done.

more info from the link above.

Note: The Windows 7 Beta installation disk includes self-healing code that resets the corrupted $TxF RM log file, therefore the problematic volume should be recovered by simply booting from the Windows 7 Beta installation disk.
