There was an production announcement party held yesterday (24th of March) for the upcoming Black Rock Shooter OVA at the Akihabara UDX Theater.

To receive a ticket and attend the event, you’d have to apply at the official home page and be randomly selected by Good Smile Company. Lucky buggers.



Shinobu Yoshioka, director of the OVA production, made an appearance, along with Aki Takanori (CEO of Good Smile Company) and huke (THE artist). They held a panel, with Shinobu commenting that he really liked supercell’s music and thought the PV was amazing.



Anyway, after that they showed a minute-long exclusive promotional video made up of footage that were used in the making of the OVA. There is no leaked video at the moment though, so all I can show you are these images:







Love the quality here. It’s definitely a big leap over the lack of quality seen in the DVD we bought last year.







YES! These shots pretty much confirm my suspicions about Black Gold Saw being in the OVA! Claws + big jagged sword is. Also, let’s not forget about Dead Master!

The seiyuus (voice actresses) behind Black Rock Shooter and Dead Master were also (finally) revealed, along with their (human) character names in the OVA.





BlackRock Shooter, AKA Mato Kokui Kuroi will be voiced by Kana Hanazawa.





Meanwhile, Dead Master, AKA Yomi Takanashi will be voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro.

A 50-minute original video animation project entitled Black Rock Shooter will be released on July 24, 2010 based on the song "Black Rock Shooter" and its original music video featuring illustrations by Huke. A "Pilot Edition" of the anime was released on DVD and Blu-ray disc on September 30, 2009.Ryo and Huke are collaborating on the project with supervisor Yutaka Yamamoto and his animation studio Ordet; Shinobu Yoshioka is directing the project.Black Rock Shooter is Ordet's first solo production as the main animation studio. Ten minutes of footage are planned to be shown at Anime Expo on July 1–4, 2010.

Pero ok na wuie. Na Addict baya ko sa mga Figures ani. Usa pa ang naa nako "Black Rock Shooter" Original Ver. nag Duha2 pako sa Animation Ver. kay naa man pud c Dead Master Original Ver.

Hayz paeta aning watay kwarta wuie, studyante paman gud. hmmmmm.
