Depends on your budget but i would advise you stay away from that card as ATI doesnt provide the best priceerformance on the mid end segment of the market, its best to go with nvidia based card.May we know your max budget so that we can recommend a good card or a better choice from the above stated

this card uses a pci-x to agp bridge chip because the x1600 is a pci-x chip. its performance isn't at its maximum as there is some latency incurred as signals pass through this bridge chip... better get a card with a chip that supports agp natively if you still want to use agp-based cards.

It's no problem if the card uses PCIe - AGP / HSI Bridge on it.. I think he should either get a GF 6600GT agp than the X1600.. It will preferably perform well than the said ATi card..

Actually its being sold at $199. And I was planning on getting on it but I wanted to gather some feedbacks first doing something about it.

heres the best choice if you HAD PCIe

    ATI X1800XT-256MB = $199
    Here
    or
    7900GT-256MB = $139
    If your fast enough
    Here

advise nako sa is dont spend anymore for an AGP card upgrade, overpriced naman gud kaayo ang AGP karon.

@Earlz: I don't have a PCI-E slot. Currently I'm having a 9800XT card and I just want to prolong my AGP system. So is the 7600GT an AGP card?

@uzumaki: im in the US right now, and mao to ka kita man gud ko sa card so I was thinking of upgrading my system diha sa cebu without upgrading the whole system itself .

i think 7600GS ang AGP model ana,Socket 939 imong processor ? ani man gud na bai, if e prolong nimo ang imong AGP system mas dako kag money gi labay in the long run.. that $200 can buy you a single core AMD and a AGP+PCIe motherboard... Asrock Dual SATAII is about $65 only
