hi guys, im having trouble figuring out why my Newly upgraded cpu couldn't go through the OS. it only goes through the windows logo and processing then went out and shutsdown. i had to reboot it again then thesame happens... can anyone help me with this coz i need to use my PC ASAP.. thanks..

wew! abi nako ikaw mupalit sa ako P4 3.0Ghz, wala naman ka ni txt pag sunday.. tabangan ta tka config ana imo board since d officialy supported ang 800 fsb cpu ana imo motherboard. i alread txted u about it katu nagsabot pa ta.

What was the model of your motherboard? check its supported processor...google it or post it here so that others can have an idea.

Have you tried loading your bios settings to default or optimize default?
Maybe it is because your current cpu configuration uses AI overclock or something current settings
doesn't support your package.

Have you check your memory? May be your memory have defective blocks, try using memtest to verify 8.

bro, common cause of that is ur mobo doesnt supports ur newly installed procie, i am optimistic that ur
3.0 fsb is 800 mhz, while ur mobo supports only 533 mhz.

that's probably the right reason. because P4 2.4 has 533fsb and p4 3.0 has 800fsb so maybe your mobo will support only 400/533 fsb maybe this the reason why it will not continue to load your OS. But as many other said try to ask help from mr. werty. I'm sure he could help you.
