    unsa nga web service?

sa pag-browse pa lang nimo sa istorya.net bro nigamit naka ana ug web service provided by istorya.net's web server using your web browser - both communicating the same protocol - http.

pwede i-clarify unsa na nga web service bro - standard or dili? kung standard unsa nga klase - http, ftp, smtp, pop3, imap, etc2x?

I think web services are different from http, ftp, smtp, pop3, imap, etc. If the Wikipedia page for web services is to be believed:

The ones you mentioned are protocols and not web APIs.

If sakto akong pagsabot sa "web services" na imong gi ingon, a visit to the Wikipedia page and then googling might prove to be useful.

akong buot pasabot bro kay network client/server transactions = network service... from the word server = service. ako ra gi-klaro kung mao ba - that's why nangutana ko unsa nga klase? na-misinterpret ra nimo, wa ko nag-ingon nga web service na ang protocols, basaha 2nd sentence sa akong post, klaro man tingali?

yahoo mail ug gmail.. ma-consider mana sila nga web service di ba sa lain nga context? they are providing a service sa web users. kaning nagdagan nga apache server sa akong computer, unsa may tawag sa gi-provide ani? dili man tingali http protocol ang gi-provide ani di ba?

anyway, wa ra ni magkasinabot unsay definition sa web service bro. kung unsay buot pasabot sa TS, siya ray makasulti dili ikaw. kung sayop akong definition, it's for him to say so, right? mao bitaw ingon ko nga i-clarify kay synonymous para sa uban like me ang network ug web. pero sakto ka wa na unta nko gilabot ang uban klase - ftp, smtp, pop3. kay http ra man diay ang web - web pages. sayop jafon ko
