How to configure new hardware?

Existing system - P3 600 mghz, 512 ram, dvdrom n cdrom, 40 gb hdd 7200 rpm

I just upgraded it with 64mb na video card and a 5.1 na sound card. Ambot ngano when i play dvd movies mag ungot ungot ang video and when my kid installed pc games na warcraft mao sad gyapon mag ungot ungot ang video niya. Basin naa ko wa ma set ug sakto? Any help would really be welcomed. Thanks

what was your previous video card?

you got a pIII 600Mhz system.. even if you upgrade to the fastest video card.. it wouldnt do you good. DVD playback relies heavily on processor power for DVD decoding

sir, try to update the driver sa imong video card..hopefully maka tabang. and update directx as well.

Unsa imong new VC? naa nay Hardware Decoding ang mga bagong video cards.. try to adjust the settings of your DVD player, somewhere sa advance na mga settings, decodings etc

tanawa sad ang settings sa audio kay medyo bugat sad ng 5.1 nga decoding, just go to stereo mode if you have an option.

kng d mada, last resort, try to make a new installation with all updated drivers loaded

check also for viruses, P3 600 Mhz is just fine with DVD playback, my friend have an old p3 550, 256mb ram--no problems at all in DVD playback

background processes (virses, background application activities) eats up CPU time.. so disable or clean them up
