    Default Dual ISP question


    I have a question in getting a dual ISP, i plan to get the 3 or 4mbps sa globe for DOWNLOADING ONLY and i plan to keep my PLDT connection for my online gaming. Is it possible to set that all my torrent and 3rdparty based download manager to use only the Globe connection and my PLDT remains for gaming and surfing, what hardware/software do i need to obtain.

    internet globe <--- modem <--- router ---192.168.1.0 ---> hub <--- 192.168.2.0 --- router---> modem ---> internet pldt

    globe make fixed ip to ur local area network(lan) start 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.2 etc. blah blah blah (globe for DOWNLOADING ONLY)
    pldt make fixed ip to ur local area network(lan) start 192.168.2.1, 192.168.2.2 etc. blah blah blah (PLDT connection for my online gaming)

    u can n use linksys or edimax router for dual wan

    Hi bro,

    You mean dual internet on a single desktop? hmmmm, you need a Dual WAN Router but all I know is you cant use the two connections at the same time. The only advantage is if one connection goes down, the other connection may help.

    Palit nalang cheap used pc diri sa istorya added with huge cap HDD to hook up with your second connection for your DDLs.

    bro earlz, edimax routers are supposed to do these kinds of things, dual wan load balancing routers, medyo mahal lang.. almost like buying another computer, they have 4 ports and 8 port load balancing (incoming and outgoing) routers too

    A dsl router would do the trick and isa proxy can help.
