what do you mean brad?nig remove nmo sa usb mo prompt cya nga d pa pwede ma remove?there are instances pod na ang imong usb has virus on it. so what you would do is move the files on your usb drive to your computer and format your usb drive to delete the virus after imo rapod imo move balik ang files then you can now safely remove your usb drive..with your smart bro usb thing once virus have infected on your system most of the time another usb stick or device could make the drive in use bsag wla so a system restart would be the best way to do it. just try lang brad there's no harm in trying man dba?hope nkatabang ko..^_^..

make sure your computer is free from any virus or malwares.

Several or most of this viruses targets USB flash drives. So each time you insert a flash type usb in your computer. those viruses/malwares tend to write their stuffs to the flash disk all the time, checking and re-checking it they have infected the drive. Hence the operating system wont allow dismount of the drive BECAUSE a program is still accessing it.

another indication of activity is your flash drive's LED. if it continues to blink, even if you're not copying any data, there should be something using it and its not you.. heheheh

    1. sir try copying all the files to from the flashdrive to your computer, then format your usb.
    2. after doing that replace all your flies back to your usb.
    3. try to do the remove usb function again. if it still doesn't work try changing your antivirus on your computer and do a scan. you can just plug the usb after reboot. and then do it again.
    4. if no viruses where detected by your new installed anti virus i suggest you download these additional softwares and run them
    a. sdfix - run this in safe mode
    b. spybot - run this and immunized your computer.
    c. adaware - run this last and then try to reboot your computer, remember to fix all the reported errors and malwares detected on your computer
    5. if all else fail pm me. have a nice day!
