    Default On Laptops: expert opinion needed

    I'm planning to buy a laptop. I recently read some thread that brand is important because of the tech support that you get if ever you get into some predicament with your unit. Here's what I want:

    My budget is only 30k but can probably stretch to 35k on a 3month installment plan[crossing fingers]
    I want it to be in style [light, small and non-black color]
    at least 40GB harddrive
    1.4 or up Ghz
    wifi
    CDRW & DVDROM
    integrated webcam
    WARRANTY

    Is this possible? Or am I asking too much?

    Experts, please shed some light!

    Thanks

    You might wanna check Silicon Valley and ask PCX for those laptops from what i know Asus has a great value for laptops.. if size and weight is an absulute concern then Toshiba would be your answer, as for the budget im afraid 3 months installement plan is not always avalable.. for 35,000 maybe you can get a similar system to your desired specs but at the expense of weight and size.

    Think I saw one nga naa sa P30K range pero wala nay webcam. Sa Octagon man siguro toh... Not sure pero, sa trend karon, makapalit naman ka og descent office-and-internet laptaps/notebooks for P30k or less.

    Thanks guys.

    I checked Silicon Valley. Naay Toshiba 40K. Here are the specs;

    1.6Ghz
    40GB Harddisk
    ATI Graphics
    DVD ROM/CDRW
    Wifi ready
    with XP Home

    This one is from a store in Ayala;

    35K, Asus
    1.7Ghz
    60GB
    DVD ROM/CDRW
    No OS [although, Linux OS is FREE]
    No wifi

    Asa man ani ang mas nindot?

    Need your expert opinion!

    Thanks kau! :mrgreen:

    @aldine: Ang Model # unta imong gi-apil. With your stated budget, I'd go with the 2nd one.

    256 MB DDR2 Memory for both...

    I can stretch my budget to 40K but I want value for my money.

    Is 35K worth the specs or 40K worth the Toshiba unit?

    Thanks

    I'm also concerned about durability.

    Para nako bro, regardless of what the laptop is for id always settle for ATLEAST 512MB of ram. durability wise both are pretty equal since they use similar internal component brands pero i think il go with the toshiba since it has a legit winxp a and wifi read, getting a laptop today w/o a wifi is a waste even tho your not sure if you can use it. ayaw pag pa elad sa raw specs like others. The first selection is the best one providing theres a 512MB version for it.
