No no no, this is not a claim that aliens are discovered at present, but to get the idea on what ET life looks like when we stumble upon a planet. There are many galaxies who harbor stars with systems similar to our own solar system, with planets revolving into such stars, so basically, we are not alone. This video by National Geographic depicts on what aliens might look like in various environments under such circumstances. One thing is certain, I guess, you don't need oxygen or water to make a planet harbor sentient or non-sentient beings, even plant life... so expect the weirdest of the weird hehe.. enjoy watching and post your comments below-

i haven't watched the video, but can i comment?

i'm always open to the possibility that may be an alien civilization far more technologically advanced than ours --- probably even millions of years ahead. i believe that alien sightings, though i'm a bit skeptical, can stand on a more legitimate ground than most conspiracy theories out there.

Few weeks ago, I joined a talk from a famous Stanford Univ. Physicist who holds many patents. Anyway, during his talk, he said that if a civilization becomes very very advanced, they will probably know how a race progresses in time. They would probably also get a lot of attempts for communication from primitive civilizations/races (like us). So maybe these advanced civilizations will get annoyed by all these attempts and decide to conceal themselves from us. As a result, we see a lot of matter which we cannot actually see , the 'Dark Matter.' And maybe if we take into account all the dark matter in the universe, it may also sum up to the total number of advanced civilizations in the universe. haha! Anyway, he said it in passing during his talk and was meant as a funny thought provoking joke. hehehehe

lagi... although, he was just joking but it does make sense. hehehe! Regarding cloaking, the most scientifically possible way to do it is if you have a special material 'metamaterial' that can bend light around an object as if it were just passing through. Here is a very good video about it explained by Prof. Ulf Leonhardt. He is a front runner in the field of invisibility. It's a short but very informative video. hehe! I actually met him few months ago. And I was very intimidated because I heard so much things about him. hehehe! enjoy the video.
