The SSSTP is designed to help poor but deserving students pursue their education while at the same time training them in productive activities of delivering social security services even during the summer vacation, and providing them incentives in the form of training allowance. During the program, the students shall receive hands-on training in various SSS operations, including the delivery of social security services under the supervision of SSS Branch officers.

The Program is open to all Filipino youth who possess all the following qualifications:
(a) Aged 18-25 years old;
(b) Presently enrolled in any college/vocational course or dropped out/not enrolled but intend to continue their education;
(c) With a combined family income not exceeding P10,000.00 per month;
(d) Has earned a passing grade on all subjects during the last school year/term attended; and
(e) An SSS member or one whose mother or father is an SSS member.

The following are the documentary requirements:
(a) Latest school registration form attested by the principal or registrar;
(b) Two (2) 1.5x1.5 ID pictures;
(c) Any of the following documents showing age of applicant: (i) Birth/ baptismal certificate; (ii) High School Report Card (Form 13 or Transcript/Summary of Records; (iii) Government issued ID; and (iv) Joint Affidavit of two disinterested parties pertaining to the age of student;
(d) Any of the following to attest the students’ rating: (i)*Form 138; (ii) Certification by School Registrar that the student has a passing school grade during the previous semester/school year; (iii) Certified true copy of the student’s class card where his/her passing grade could be determined; and
(e) Latest Income Tax Return, or barangay or employer/s certification showing combined family income.
