Post What it takes to be a President of the Philippines

Requirement for Presidency: Able to READ and Write.

Basically, if you're looking for a job, you'd see a ton of requirements before you even qualify. A bachelor's degree, a master's degree, years of experience and etc. The list goes on.

For the highest coveted position in the country, I wonder why these requirements don't exist.

Do you still wonder why we have lousy leaders?

requirements does not matter anyway...; ( its sad to say that that ur budget for running and vote buying is directly proportional to ur chance of winning the race! ; (

Actually, this is misleading. The main requirement is that he/she must be elected as president. Then there are the other requirements like a
    1. natural-born citizen of the Philippines
    2. a registered voter, able to read and write,
3.at least forty years of age on the day of the election,
    4. a resident of the Philippines for at least ten years immediately preceding such election.

    Art VII sec 2, constitution

Got your point. Pero my point is, we, the citizens, have the power to select the president. This is the most important requirement in a democracy. So if ganahan ang mga tawo sa elementary graduate lang na president, then so be it. That is the will of the people.
