    To expand more..

game extension could be either .iso or .cso files..

    e.g. waterboy_rock_game.iso or waterboy_rock_game.cso

comparison of the 2 extensions are
ISO mostly rip from UMD like it is the complete game it self
CSO is compressed file to make the size of .ISO file lighter or smaller.

    CONNECTING PSP TO PC
    you need USB cable

when connecting your psp to pc
    1. plug your usb to your pc
    2. plug the other end of your cable to your psp
    3. wait till the installation of your psp to your pc finished. ( automatic install don't worry for driver )
    4. when finished installed... the pc will ask how will you open then just open it with foloder
    5. look for ISO folder
    6. copy your game .cso file or iso file
    7. paste your game to ISO folder

    DONE

    It's a winrar file that's 1.7gb in size.
Then i unzipped it and these came out:

    -UMD_DATA.bin

    -UMD_VIDEO folder
-----CLIPINF folder (with 79 clip info files inside)
-----RESOURCE folder (with 11 .rco files inside)
-----STREAM folder (with 79 mpeg media files inside)
    -----ICON0.png
    -----ICON1.pmf
    -----PARAM.sfo
    -----PIC1.png
    -----PLAYLIST.umd

    try renaming it...

    ex:..
    ma0_ni.rar to ma0_ni.iso

right click the rar file then rename ma0_ni will appear on the name and add .iso it bec0mes ma0_ni.iso...

    just try it...

I believe bro it's an ISO/CSO file but you're only seeing it as a WinRAR file because WinRAR supports these extensions. Can you double check through file properties?

If it's indeed a RAR file, rename it.
If it's an ISO/CSO file, no need to extract it.

@all -- I'll try these suggestions sir.. i'll let you know soon what happens

BTW, is the PSP ver. 5.55 upgradedable to Gen.D3??

Nop if that is PSP Slim with new MOBO or PSP 3k, that is forever UMD until the next release of V5.03 above, only 5.03 and below is applicable to Hen. If that is a PSP 1k or 2k with old MOBO, it is down gradable to V.5.50 Gen D3.
