Buying SURPLUS UNITS is the same as buying any LOCAL CARS na USED although maka ingon ta na mas bung-og ang SURPLUS since wala ta kahibalo sa previous history sa vehicle .Mag daog na lang na sa conversion sa steering and all of its components specially if JAPANESE CARS ang imohang ganahan .

Ang used car na GRAY MARKET , meaning mga sakyanan na wala gibaligya locally is also SURPLUS and it doesnt have to be converted na . Naa mga surplus pod na ORIG LEFT HAND DRIVE .

My advise is go find one you like that fits your budget , bring a mechanic with you na trusted nimo kay mga local dealers and some private owners bayran na nila ang mekaniko aron mahalin ang sakyanan unya ingnon ka sa mekaniko na ok ra nindot ang condition sa sakyanan which in reality naka kwarta ang mekaniko and cge pod kaguba sa cge ka pa ayo pod sa mekaniko . kana trusted jud nimo aron maka good deal ka . Pwerting daghana nindot na surplus vehicles , dont forget also to make sure na dili HOT CAR ang paliton nimo , meaning ana is dili siya STOLEN or CARNAPPED kay mag labad jud ulo nimo ana . Coordinate with TMG aron ma confirm nimo na limpyo ang papers sa sakyanan .

Hope I helped you sa problema nimo .

    1. No way of knowing the history of a surplus car.
    2. Aside from convertion to left hand drive, some surplus cars are sliced. Gipang gabas sa tunga para ma classified as used parts sa customs them welding ug balik.
    3. Manufacturers usually design the cars for a particular country taking weather, road conditions, fuel conditions into consideration. Buying a surplus car intended for another country and using it in Cebu will give you tons of problems.
    4. It is illegal to import used cars. Surplus cars do not pay for the right taxes since most of them are classified as used parts.
