The entire lunar project had a very political overtone ( as a part of the Space Race )

which was a part of the Cold War. As you may know the Cold War is over it petered

down in the early 80's and ended when the Soviet Union collapsed. The scientific value

of going to the moon again isnt as high as funding projects like Hubble or more recently

the Kepler and NASA doesnt have an unlimited budget

and it still would cost like hell.

Soviet had a plan too. They planned to shoot the moon with a capsule bullet. It's manned.
Days before the final launch, the project author was abducted.
He designed the barrels of the new beretta sniper riffles.

Not really... some claims were serious... It might be a result of some extra publication in NASA side. Even so, NASA never made a satisfactory answers to those claim.

Mainstream Media is dangerous. There is where politics as its best.

i've heard something 'bout this radiation belt just outside earth's atmosphere which made manned space explorations impossible... russians were the first ones to know about this.
