Hi Guys. I'm going to the States next month and I'm in need of a good video camera. Instead of buying a videocam, I'm planning to get a DSLR (Canon EOS 500D) with video capabilities since I could also use the SLR for my trip. (pics)

But I have some clarifications. Is it true that the maximum video length of the Canon 500D is only 10minutes per recording? Then you need to record again?

My priority is the HD Video. I might record 1-2 hours of straight videos so I want to clarify this before I buy. Also, for those 500D owners, how big is the ideal Memory card for 1-2 hours of video? 16Gig? Or will 8Gig suffice?
