lol hopefully this isn't the real price? because thats just.. Didn't nvidia say its going to be cheaper then a 5970 or a 5870? lmao! Reading the reviews are FTW! hahaha!

Basin it is more expensive because it will outperform the 5970 or 5870?

    memory size maybe wrong...

on the demo card, there are 12 memory modules around the GPU core.
Each of the 64-bit controllers has a pair of ICs associated with it.
With 128MB modules being the choice these days that could translate into 1.5GB of GDDR5.

prices are bad. i hope mo naog ilang price para mo naog sad ang uban.

@loloyis.com libog na da di ko kasabot tarong. hulat nalang ko matiwas advance logic para mas masabtan nko =)

I heard some rumors that these cards have huge problems. In manufacturing currently at 10% yields. the Cards run very hot at only 600 mhz core. The stocks would be very limited could even just be a PR stunt release.

But I hope this is not true.

GF100 has 6 memory controllers at 64 bit bus connected to two memory ICs for the high end part.
that's why we have a total of 384 bit (6x64) memory bus of GDDR5.
current GDDR5 ICs have 128MB capacity so the total amount of memory will be (128MBx12) or 1536MB.

basing from this, we can scale down for possible derivatives of GF100

    1.) GTX480 - 384 bit bus @ 1536MB of GDDR5 (6 memory controllers max)
    2.) GTX470 - 320 bit bus @ 1280MB of GDDR5 (5 memory controllers)
    3.) GTX4xx - 256 bit bus @ 1024MB of GDDR5 (4 memory controllers)

    and so on....

or if they used the latest 192MB capacity GDDR5 IC...

    1.) GTX480 - 384 bit bus @ 2304MB of GDDR5 (6 memory controllers max)
    2.) GTX470 - 320 bit bus @ 1920MB of GDDR5 (5 memory controllers)
    3.) GTX4xx - 256 bit bus @ 1536MB of GDDR5 (4 memory controllers)

this is why the amount of memory for GTX 480 posted above is wrong.
