The SD-2 contains two indipendent overdrive circuits providing two different modes of operation. The LEAD mode produces a thick, smooth sound while the CRUNCH mode produces a fat, crunchy sound. There's also a LEAD/CRUNCH mode where you can alternate between the two modes each time you step on the pedal. The pedal uses concentric potentiometers for Level, Tone and Drive so it's possible to keep completely separate settings each mode. When in CRUNCH mode, a latching foot switch can be connected to the remote input. This footswitch will then switch between LEAD and CRUNCH mode while the main pedal switch will turn the effect on or off.
