playing with a 550D and 1D mk IV

Canon let me play around with a 550D and 1D mk IV for a couple of hours...
looking back, wish i was able to take more and better photos...just got too excited with actually playing and using em











i also got to play around with the 100mm L 2.8 IS but the 70-200L2.8IS II was not available

hehe...550D is actually as small as the 500D...
exact size and weight actually...

ang LCD niya is super sharp lcd with more pixels and its visibly wider than the 500D with its 3:2 aspect ratio screen
720p @ 60fps recording...1080p @ 30/25/24fps also available...external stereo mic port available.
more sensitive sensor at ISO 6400 naturally...auto ISO selectable to any ISO max level. same max expanded ISO level.
despite its higher resolution and bigger file size, it can take pictures faster than the 500D.
it also supports SDXC so future proof na sya.
new battery is bigger and longer lasting. new battery grip syempre.
i also like the copyright/photographer information feature of the camera. unfortunately i didnt get to try this part out.
'Q' button & separate movie button are welcome additions. btw the buttons are different from the older models. i can't say if its better or worst...no advantage or disadvantage i can think off. just different.
4 level battery reporting is definitely a nice addition though i never found the use for this.
last but not least, its TTL 63-zone SPC and +/- 5.0EV exposure compensation are welcome addition for newbies/available light photographers and HDR aficionados
