What's the next BIG THING after Friendster?

Hi Everyone,

Recently, I've been doing some brainstorming on what's the next big portal or online community to work on. My freelance team is gearing up to the next level.

So I will start this with a question: "What's the next big thing after Friendster?" I know this may sound ambitious to you guys but everything starts from a good idea, innovation and always on the look out for better opportunities and do business on the Internet.

I remember when I was invited to conduct an impromptu seminar at USC-TC during their CompE Week. My topic that time was "Starting Your Own Dot Com". It was well attended with students and some faculty members asking questions. Lucky
enough I researched well with my topic and was able to answer their inquiries accordingly. I know they will ask those questions. lolz.

If you recall, these are the big dot com companies, namely: Amazon, Ebay, Barnes and Noble, www.itzamatch.com (Cebu Based) and Friendster.

So now back to my question. If you have a good idea, let's work on this and coordinate with me very, very closely. Expect questions from me as we do the fine-tuning of your concept or ideas. Make sure it's viable for business (global market). Don't be discouraged if the idea doesn't look appealing to me. You can suggest as money errrr as many concepts as you want. =)

I only need one concept to work on for now, maybe two in the near future. Make sure the business is long term targetting global market.

We will have a Non-Disclosure Agreement. You will be included right away under the management of that particular portal or concept once approved by my team. You will be part of my "Think Tank" read - THINK TANK =)

Things To Consider:
A) What's your concept / idea?
B) What are the features?
C) How to generate revenues?
D) Reference Site(s)
E) Advantage and Disadvantage
F) Strengths and Weaknesses
G) Who are our competitors?
H) Who are our target market?
I) Others...

So basically this is like a school project doing Case Study or Feasibility Study. I want somebody who is pro-active, team oriented and have thirst for creativity.

there are a lot of concepts but not yet proven.

but this idea of yours is a good start and i'm sure a lot of cebuanos will participate.

btw, what company are you connected and do you own this?

who will finance the development of any pilot project from a choosen concept?

I manage my own team of freelance designers. Whoever has a nice concept is automatically be part of the managing team. Of course, that person should have an access to the Internet at home (to work on the portal). It's not really required if the person is not techie for as long as he / she knows how to manage or organize his ideas...
