A leftist activist was murdered by three gunmen in Misamis Oriental, the latest in a spate of political killings that has alarmed the church and human rights groups, police said Thursday.
Ernesto Ladeca, 43, a peasant leader affiliated with the Bayan Muna party, was shot several times in the head and body just outside his home near the town of Salay in Misamis Oriental province.

I think the government is very much willing to accept the idea of creating an independent international body to conduct investigation on the killings of these militant activists and journalists. This only shows that the government really wanted to put an end to this killing.
