    Default Cebuano Digital Filmmaking

Hi I am a indypendnt filmmaker. well, a director. its my 4th indie project. whepee. but the problem is, usually when i make films.. well write and direct films i never hold the camera, during my 3 projects i always had my cinematographer/editor,i really gave my full trust and never think to kulit him - which means he knows what he is really really doing. All his products wre amazing. Well, he is gone now. I am having problem with what camera and software to use. I am doing a low budget P40k only 46min film project to shoot this july. that exclude PC, Grips and Cameras. Is a SonyDCRTRV250D8 okey on screen? on projector. And is AdobePremier better or will i prefer Vegas?I really dnt know these things yet. hmpf. thanks.

I am also very interested to join the CFS thingy. I have seen the teaser.. am.. my comment " needs more art. hope i could help. But its a great small step." . Well, I liked the story of "Witness ". I was wondering where I could contact these guys. I know this Mr.B. Villacastin, but I lost his contact, we were friends at IAFT b4.

Chow! im a newbie here! :0

I am inviting other film enthusiasts to collaborate with me in an another film project soon.

I guess if it's projected digitally it will look good on the big screen...

Be warned though, if you don't use a camera that is 3CCD it will get washed out upon capture...

If you shoot with a single CCD consumer camera and you plan to do chroma keying, I recommend you shoot it on daylight, and on lowlight so the image won't get washed out. but with the color curves in Vegas, n0t all dark images are unusable as it can be corrected - but only up to a point.

Here are models of single CCD with slightly bigger lenses:

    Sony DCR HC85
    Sony DCR TRV60
    Canon Optura 20
    Canon Optura xI

still, they do get washed out. So only good for daylight, and don't shoot against the light cos if you correct the darkened images during post it will have to saturate the colors already when you get to the point where somethings in your picture can be made out.

although with the cost of those consumer models (P50K - more or less) , add 29 grand more, and you'll be able to pick up the Sony DCR HC1000, which is a 3CCD a price much lower than their Video Extremist Models, (the latest being the VX2100 if I'm n0t mistaken) which costs around Php. 160, 000.

And oh Sony's Vegas is very user-friendly. Maay pa Vegas nalang ang gamiton nimo anyway your camera is SONY.
