Default Ask lang ko about 6in1 Dog Vaccine

    Halo guys...
Among 3yrs. & 5 months old spoiled nga iro gi pa anti rabies shots karon adlawa and 6 in 1 vaccine.

    Thanks daan.

gud evening,im not an expert but ill try to explain and answer ur quiry since its also part of my field.the vaccines are actually, also the microorganisms that cause the diseases but these microorganisms are already safe due to the fact that it has been altered, they are either killed (inactivated) or weakened (attenuated).most vaccines now are combined or known as polyvalent (both of which are comprised of core & non core vaccines).after a series of vaccination when ur dog is but a puppy the vaccines given to it worked slowly to booster its immunity by building enough antibodies, once the 'expiration date' of ur pup's/dog's last vaccination schedule (as written in ur dog's vacc.card) its antibody will be lowered, then it should be given its booster vaccination again to raise its immunity levels for it to be protected again from the would be diseases.if the date of 'expiry' is not met (in ur case for 2 mos.) then it should be given a series of scheduled shots again coz a single shot may not fully protect it against diseases.but actually, the best accurate way to know if the immunity of our dog is still high enough so as not to just vaccinate unnecessarily,is through TITER TEST,this is a test that measures the antibody levels of our dog.but its very, very costly & i think we still dont have it here yet.so since the vaccination is a lot cheaper than the titer test,& since if through titer testing it has been found out that it has a low immunity already, then it will be vaccinated anyway...then the vets here opted to vaccinate the dogs several times just to be sure that the dog's are fully safe than to be sorry later on.hope this helps

simply put (para dili nosebleed)... if mag-lapse ang vaccination due ng dog, what the vets do is to re-start the vaccs all over again... titter test unta but as humper said mas mahal ug murag wala pa man tingali diri sa ato, so the next safest thing is to re-start the vaccination program.
