How do we apply?
20 forms will be given
OFFICIAL RULES/GUIDELINES:
1.) The showcase is open to all people, may he or she, be a member of USC or not.
2.) Twenty slots will be allocated for the interested members of the said showcase. To be part of the activity, an applicant must have the following requirements:
A computer set-up under the category of “Mid-range, Mainstream or High-end”.
A unique set of parts to identify and highlight his/her rig from the others.
And if possible, the latest parts in the ever improving PC-tech world.
3.) The show case will be a whole day activity. It will start at 9:00 am until 4:00 pm in the afternoon. A one hour time allotment will be given to the respective participants of the activity to prepare and make-ready their computer setups.
4.) All setups will be enclosed inside a perimeter. This is necessary for assessing the crowd and enabling marshals to control them whenever unruly behaviour maybe sighted and also to protect the computer setups of the participants that of which we are responsible of.
5.) Despite being a showcase, we will be giving special awards to the participants with the most unique set-ups. Here are the following names of the special awards to be given:
“XTREME RIG(Mainstream and High-End)” Award: to be given to the participant with the most unique rig presented not only in the activity itself but of the entire metro Cebu.
“Bang for a Buck” Award(Mid-Range): to be given to the participant with the setup that most performs smoothly and the cost for assembling the entire computer setup is most reasonable enough for its equivalent performance.
“Viewer’s Choice(Separate for Mid-range and High-end)” Award: to be given to the participant whose rig was given the most points by the viewers that where part of the activity.
The decision of who will receive the first and second named awards will be upon someone who is not having any direct relation to any of the participants. This is necessary in order to have a transparency in the decision making process.
For the “Viewer’s Choice” Award, the marshals of the activity would let a viewer vote for the rig that he/she thinks likes most, may it be because of aesthetic reasons or that relating to performance.
6.) Here is the time allotment for programme of the activity:
10:30 am – 12:00 pm: Initial “free-view” time of audiences/viewers.
12:00 pm – 01:30 pm: New PC technology and features discussions
01:30 pm – 02:00 pm: Giving of special awards and certificates.
