Default For RNs: Has any1 tried processing a Student Entry/Visa for Australia?

Please be all informed that this thread is started for simple reasons like as follows: to encourage, guide or simply for information purposes for those RNs who have been wanting to reach their dream in going abroad be it any part of the world.

who knows with sharing of information, all of u out there will come across a way to start working on ur dream!!!

i was surfing the net and came across this website Welcome to Study in Australia it is actually helpful and also has some links to the australian govt site for student visa/entry.

a friend of mine who is working as an RN in Queensland shared info that most overseas RNs will go this way to take a bridging course "Re-entry level for RN" in a University. 6mos to a year ang course.

i read the benefits of a student entry sa Australia ky u will have the privilege to work part time and ur family/guardian can come with u with same visa stipulations. i know u just have to prove urselves financially able when doing this...BUT if it means attaining ur dream, y not look for ways?

when processing, u dont have to look for a Consultancy office to assist u...just do it urself and read a lot first!

please do share info for others to learn...thanks!

nganung di man? na free raman ang consultancy sa IDP? nya i dont think such bridging course is effective for a job there. mas maau cguro kung mo take nalang ka sa CAS (competence assessment service) ang part 1 kay sa manila (makati) composed of 4 exams nya ang part 2 kay sa australia which is ang practical exam. sure man ka nga tagaan og special na tourist visa for 3 months nya balik dayun ka diri nya kung naa na gani ka license sa ana na place like sa queensland apply dayun ka for working visa.. pag 2009 pani na pamaagi ha ambut lang kaha karon 2010 kay balita naku mas hasol, mas lisud, masdugay na kay bag.o na ang board of director sa australia.. goodluck to all..

what i meant for consultancy office are those who are asking money from the applicant or using agencies for this matter when it is a NO BRAINER thing to do as long as u will just follow all instructions in completing the requirements.

why would it not be effective when the Re-entry level is for RN? after this u will work as an RN there and can change your status once u will find an employer? the bridging course is actually for u to be acquainted with their system over there and such re entry level is only offered in University. RN is the highest level unlike (EN) enrolled nurse. i have heard about Manila's system called CAS. how much will it cost per module? i have heard 90K for just 1 module? then ang gasto nimo for a tourist entry and taking the 2nd part over there? tapos balik ra ka dri then wait ka for registration to get approve pa? diba mas gasto na?

while if u have a student permit with work previlege then much better diba? u r earning while studying though not that much pero ur stay will be indefinite but legal. after ur done with the course u can just apply for licensure and wait in australia already and no need to go home na.

visit this site...Initial Registration for Overseas Nurses ky they have a special program for international nurses who seeks registration in Australia. This is focused on the state of Victoria. u will just have to take it for 3 mos. then u can be registered to work as RN Division 1 in their state.

so you mean you can change your status once you will find an employer? i dont think pwede nah cya, sa US nuon pwede nah. it only cost 30k each per module but only kung mahagbong ka. As a student a there you can only work up to 20hrs a week ( i think excluding ang weekends) so limited rajud kaau kay kung masakspan paulion jud ka diri sa pinas kay you will be there to study and not to work. gasto jud nuon i think mga around mga 200k-300k but unlike sa student nga dili jud moubos og 1m imong gastoon unya dili pajud sure ang imong imployment after unya ibutang ta lang naa mudawat nimu nga employer kinahanglan jud gihapon ka mouli and thats the time na moapply ka for a working visa na.

they have what they call INSHORE PROCESSING too and legal in australia. u might be familiar of Adjustment of status as well? have u read the recent changes they made for 2010 if ur profession fall on their occupation demand list, they have a special consideration in the processing. since u will not be a liability but infact an asset in their society, surely they will look into an applicants documents. as long u can prove all requirements needed by the immigration for the change of status then why do a person need to go back home?

i dont want to brag but a friend of mine has done this during her early years of stay in australia and she is now an australian citizen. she didnt went home until her status was adjusted after her bridging course? of course u have to apply registration for licensure as a nurse and once she got approved she had an employer ready to file for a working permit for her. this was done all INSHORE PROCESSING!

m a bit familiar of US system too since i've been here for awhile na. i wanted to go to australia and i am just waiting for the result of the Queensland Nursing registry assessment if i wud get qualified there as RN. if NOT, i know they will refer me to a certain program like a university bridging course.

refer to my previous post saying about a program offered by La Trobe University in Victoria, Australia. they have wat they call IRON program for 3mos for overseas RN applicants.

basaha lang ninyo ang naa sa website...naa man diha naka outline and u will get the idea or if not, email the university directly maybe they can give u how to apply for acceptance or even ask if unsa ang outline sa program then requirements daun.

i will be utilizing this path soon after maka hear ko ug word from the board i am applying with if ma register ba ko nila or di. IF dili gani, then mo sulod ko ug bridging program sa university sa australia. i have an education representative dri sa PA na connected sa University of Queensland. ang Arcadia University sa Pennsylvania ang akong email-lan pa.
