    Default Q> Cleaning the sensor

    Newbie here...
and here are some questions coming from my mind...

1.) When is the time that the sensor needs cleaning?
2.) How and what are the cleaning tools used?
3.) Is there a shop or someone here who specialize in cleaning sensors?

diy sensor cleaning is highly NOT advisable. you better let the authorized/trained personnel do the critical work.

when is the time? if dust is visible already and distracting the frame, and cannot be removed by in-body dust removal technology. there is also so called software based dust-off feature but seems not that firm to be a basis not to let the body be cleaned by trained technician. it is always good to have an actual clean sensor than relying on those software based dust-off things.

sa ako lang, i wouldn't use kanang mga liquid chemicals diha kay delicate jud kayo nang sensor, mao na ang life sa camera. blower raman ako gamit. I would use it when inig zoom nako sa ako pics, nay mga gagmay dots, that would be dirt on the sensor. I expose the sensor in a non-windy area ky basin musamot hinoon ka hugaw ang sensor imbis limpyohan ky hangin. Storage will also matter. Ako poor man ko, cge lang kog palit ug silica gel sa somewhere juan luna /plaridel st. - nalimot ko sa name - maligya ug chemicals, nay silica gel diha. I store it together with my camera in a Lock-n-lock nga container nga baligya sa SM top floor...aron always dry ang camera and to avoid moist resulting to molds on the lens.

1.) to check for dust on your sensor, follow these steps:
    1. set your lens to the smallest aperture (f/22 or smaller)
    2. take a shot of a light colored wall (mas nindot walay print)
    3. ang makita nimo na dots2x mao na xa ang hugaw sa sensor

ok ra gihapon maskin naay gamay nga dust2x... if tan-aw gali nimo
daghan na gali kaayo ang spot2x, that's the time siguro na need nka magpa-clean.

2.) pwede ra pecpad imong gamiton pero i advise against cleaning it na ikaw2x lang...
3.) canon ba ka bro? if yes, pwede ra sa canon service center... 14 days daw. 1,200 ang bayad
man guro to pero I think apil napud ang body and lens (tsk, 900 ra man unta to sa una)

    hope this helps
