    Default Nikon Lense comparison

Patanbang lang unta ko kun unsa man nindot btween a 55-200mm ug 70-300 in terms of zoom and macro shoots. Nagplano man gud ko palit new lense. Then, I found something ana duha then gamay ra difference, prices is ~$180.

sa ako lang bro, ill go for 70-300 kay taas2x ug zoom.. but im sure if ill be using this lens mg tripod nako kay di baya kaayo pasmado ug kamot. hehehe. for me, from 55-200 if non vr nya kurogon ka ug kamot same ra na ka blurry sa 70-300 zoom out @ 70-200 but much better kay maka extend ka sa 300. but as we all know, magka dako ang mm sa lens mag start, the longer sad ka mag cha2x backward.

first off bro, what ur cam?

if walay built in AF motor.. go for the 55-200

if naay motor.. go for the 70-300G pero sugggest lang ko na use a tripod when you shoot at 150-300mm using slower then 1/80 shutter speed.

im using d40 ang have ben using my 70-300mm but so far got no problem with manual focusing pero medjo bitin kai madugay ka focus esp sa moving subjects... but if 55-200 na vr then i would definitely go for it...

    @ junmar

    nagphotography napod diay ka

ditch up your budget then get the sigma 70-300mm apo version. the image quality is great as per cost. its chromatic aberration handling is astonishing. focusing is fast enough to catch those rapid subjects, and it is compact and not that very heavy to carry all day long unlike with the f2.8 telephoto variants of which is also still need a tripod on very low light situations.

the 200mm focal point max is sometimes cannot tackle with the desired reach(although foot zoom is free).
