did you know that the so called matrix phone seen IN THE MOVIE 'THE MATRIX' is actually a modified 1996 nokia 8110 known to us here as the banana phone?

coming to the release of the movie, aside for the "what is the matrix" tagline on every trailer, nokia hyped it with a nokia matrix site where the popular nokia 7110 with its automatic slide opening can be seen. (a promotional stunt to sell more 7110, worlds 1st ever MEDIA PHONE)

many got confused of which model is in the matrix movie.
its actually the 8110 banana phone

did you know that THE 1ST MMS capable phone is the ericsson t68! not the nokia 7650 or the t68i the classic t68 got its mms capability after version R1C just before 7650 was released in the market. 7650 was the 1st phone to have an integrated vga camera.

this is intresting...which siemens model had the slider before the 1996 model nokia 8110? i always thought it was the nokia kasi.

yeah siemens released a 4 or was that 16 color model back in the 90's i forgot sad the model hehe.

It feels light but compact. A friend of mine works in Harrods in their gadgets section thats why i got the chance to hold it for seconds. I read it somewhere in club siemens forum, i couldnt find the topic apparently.

light?? i though its heavy hinuon considering its material?
specs i found also are above 170 to above 200 grams in weight.

nokias and other brands run around 80 to 150 grams ra gud.

Its really light from what i expected I never had any idea it weigh that much. Its called here "the footballers mobile phone"

Did you know that you can can check your phone's date of manufacture right at the back, except for the nokias where you have to check it from their website. Service centres will know whether if it is in warranty by adding 15 months (12months warranty + 3 months shelf life) from the manufacture date, well its the case here in UK dont know how they do it there. How? I had it posted as another topic
