    1. know the type (ddr/ddr2/ddr3/ddr4?)
    2. know the maximum speed supported by your mobo (some supports some but its at OC speed already for the mobo) and get the max stable
    3. know the motherboards' working voltage range for memory

refer it to your board i search lang.... i google mo bai

    + 1

check also sa manufaturers websites sa full specs sa mobo, including supported rams/add on cards.. etc

your best bet is your motherboard manual naa na didto ang specifications niya that would solve your problem. read lang sad reviews sa imo napilian na rams kung ok ba.

mao jud check the manual nalang para safe.. naa ko ddr2 800mhz diri unya dili mo-post sa ako mobo if itaod ni nga memory maski ang mobo nagsupport ug 800mhz.. cl5 man unta nya 1.8v.. this ram works on another mobo though.. tried updating the bios pero pinakalatest naman ang iya version ron.. tan-aw nako sa manual wala siya nalista sa qualified vendors list..hehe pero naa pud ko lain ram nga wa nalista but mo-work sa mobo.. ambot ngano.. hehe

bro, physically ddr2 wont fit to a ddr3 mobo tungod sa iya slots, same with dd3 dili mo fit sa ddr2 mobo...mao nay first attempt for manufacturers to avoid incompatibility sa mobo ug ram. Kani ug sakto ko...follow lang sa tambag sa taas...before even buying an item, check for its specs and compatibilities para this issue will not surface. Suggestion pud, if your mobo is dual-channel capable, then buy 2 identical sticks of ram para ma trigger ang dual channel para dako imo memory bandwidth... 2 sticks of 1gb or 2x 2gb ram.
