VIA Builtin 8 channel sound card on my mobo questions?

I have test it to dxdiag for my 8 channel builtin soundcard. Successful man nuun cya pag check nako pero naay ni gawas. By the way Im using windows XP sp3 so here it is:



My onboard sound card is VIA what do you think ani why di man cya mo support ug hardware buffering? ok rana cya? what does hardware buffering mean?

Unsaon pag check if imong sound card if defective cya or naay problema?

@yugi: mostly i've experience in installing audio drivers in XP especially in Service Pack 3 kay di mowork ang drivers. Mo-work when i install it in Service Pack 2. Better install it in Service Pack 2 on all your drivers especially in audio after that install Service Pack 3. Hope it helps.

bro did you try another OS kung ok ba? basig issue ni siya sa imo soundcard support sa xp sp3.

@Limes: Yup tried Windows 7 32bit and Windows Vista 32bit trial version. I encountered problem sa iyang drivers. Mo play cya walay problema sa mga mp3, movies etc..pero in a long run naay times nga ig play nimo ug mp3's murag guba ang imong mp3 pero ako gi check balik wa man ni occur ug balik mao duda ko sa drivers jud na sa vista or windows 7.

Sa windows XP wa koy problema sama ana ako lang when checking dxdiag mo sulti cya ana na note. In fairness nindot baya ug sound kani na VIA onboard 8 channel card compare sa uban kaya lang mao nag wonder ko naay problema.

80-90% sure ko driver issues ni sa windows vista/windows 7 crap. If hardware problem jud ni di na unta mo play ug sound pag una palang mo occur na unta.

What can you suggest do I have to update my BIOS? Sa akong mobo it has 2 latest bios list already na pero wa nako gi update pa jud just leave as is lang sa.

Naay mga issue ang xp sp3 bahin sa mga audio drivers, bacn usa na ang imung problema.

On windows XP SP3 wa jud ingon koy problema on audio playback even video sound. Akong main concern karon on using windows vista/windows 7 32bit why naay problema on playing mp3 sounds?

Problem still unsolved:

I tried it on windows 7 and vista both 32bit OS trial 30 days same gihapon naay problema.

Sa windows 7 akong problema mag putol2x ang mp3 if mag play ko sa windows media player. Like imo i pause ug play napud balik dayon ing ana ba nga ma putol cya I thought sa mp3 ra pero di man kay ig balik nako ug play to check asa ang prob wa naman pud nag putol 2x ambot lage unsaon nalang ni.

Also sa windows vista pag play nako ug mp3 pud some part sa song ni KRRRRRRRRR sound cya then play napud normally. Murag naguba ang mp3 pero di naman mo balik if ako i play napud. Ambot lage unsaon ni oi. Kay tried using the drivers ako gi gamit sa ang GENERIC drivers sa windows 7 and vista same gihapon. Use the latest drivers or old drivers same gihapon ambot ani. I also downloaded the VIA driver jud pero no luck same gihapon.

I want to use windows 7 pero mag problema manko sa audio oi. Even cheking sa device manager wa may problema no ? yellow mark. Ani diay ning mga VIA onboard sound sa low quality kaayo maski 8 channels pa cya. Please help me solved this problem.

Karon ni balik ko sa WINDOWS XP so far ako jud gi obserbahan wa may problema jud and besides been using this eversince I bought the mobo. Sa XP jud wala koy blema pero if ever mag vista or win7 ko unsaon nalang. So please help unsay solution ani ug help me determine unsay cause either sa driver ba, incompatibility bahh or sa hardware jud ang problema ani. I also updated to the latest bios of my mobo pero mao lang gihapon the problem still there.
