Have you guys noticed on the local papers that Cebu City is publishing tax collection contrasts between the province and cebu city?

I think they should consider that most business entities are located in the city and therefore cannot be collected taxes by the province. Ang nagbayad sa buhis sa province kay ang kadtong naa sa towns outside cebu city. user your head city hall PR guys.

also, i think you could spend the cash on something more fruitful rather than publishing these kind of crap on the newspapers which mind you has been going on for a week, on a whole page. imagine the taxpayers money your spending on this. you could've used it for education for the less fortunate.

im not taking the capitol's side here but the cebuano people who pay taxes to the city and only to find out that the city hall idiots are out wasting it on some childish war with the province.

Mandaue city, lapulapu city, toledo, danao, bogo, and all the other towns have major infrastructures which are tax generating. mandaue for one is an industrial city, while lapulapu is industrial-commercial, danao, toledo has big firms. mao btaw na himo na sila city. so kana sila ga generate na sila ug tax sa province. ang mga resorts, say moalboal, sa north pa gyud. apil pa ang pila ka hectarya na gi develop ni lhuillier sa norte. naa pa mga structures ang province diri sa city... dagku man pud na... buot hunahuna-on halos tanan industrial naa man under sa province...

Daghan man pod ma collect ug Taxes ang province like Mandaue,Lapulapu, Toledo,Danao, Naga,Balamban,San Fernando ug uban pa. Ang point diha kay ang province wala kakakuha sa ilang target nya kusog pa jud mag usik usik sa kwarta sa province nga wala maka benefits sa probensyano puro palpak like CICC 800 million,Balili land 98 million ug Kitchen sa CPDRC 34 millionug uban pa.. Kanang gibayad sa City sa news ads ok ra na kay gamay ra kaayo na kon pag usik-usik sa kwarta ang hisgutan at least na inform ang public sa ilang maayo gibuhat sa City Hall kumpara sa gibuhat sa atong gobernador nga puro pangwarta ultimo bus terminal naay bayad tag 5 pesos ug parking sa Capitol Compound pabayran na.Wa nay libre ron sa province kay negosyo ang ila ug dili serbisyo sa ilang constituent.

childish it could be but the facts shows the type of politicians that rules the capitol... the way they want to fool the whole province... i am not for this type of propaganda but im thankful for the the cebu city hall, if not for them we will never know....

well, i still think that putting an ad would be more expensive and they could've used it somewhere else. perhaps if they came out with one press conference with all the media around and presented the facts, then the media could've printed it for them for free.

yup, in fact there are a lot of criticisms already about this issue...as one poster here puts it, it shows the type of politicians running Capitol but I beg to disagree. It is instead showing the type of politicians running Cebu City...
