can't browse but can ping

before i can search using my explorer or firefox browser, now i can't browse but can ping after removing my norton anti-virus i can't browse any page anymore. im using my laptop through wifi connection. the other pc on the network can browse. i dont use proxy and my router is not blocking port 80. i alrdy check my dns settings but still no luck. im using vista home for the laptop.

any help there?

another case of norton's nonsense guro ni! try to check sa security settings sa imong vista kung naa pa ba FIREWALL naka on kay maski raba uninstall nimo norton, naa pa na mahabilin ang firewall usahay...

aku na gi reset ang firewall nag add paku ug port wala. gyud last option kay reformat without knowing the cause. T_T

ayaw sa pag reformat bro. ang network man naa problem. try to check sad imo browser basin naka set na og proxy diha. also the LAN nimo try og auto obtain IP kuno.

if you can ping a website, have you tried getting the ip address of the website you pinged ang typing it to the address bar of your browser?
