from davao city proper, you go south.

you will pass by several districts: matina, bangkal, then ulas (which will fork to mintal or toril)

from downtown proper to ulas, its roughly 30mins give or take 10min depending on traffic and time of day

fare? cant remember its a long time since i took a taxi/jeep to ulas. i passed by ulas just last september when i went to mintal from SM in matina

if from airport, best route would be to take the diversion road aboard the taxi. its just 1 long highway which will bring you to the end which is the at the very border of ulas. i think taxi will cost you around P180-200. taxi is safe. you will be given a complaint form when you board the taxi at the airport. drivers take this complaints seriously because they are afraid of the mayor. and your family name will be recorded together with the license plate of taxi upon exit of the airport premises

town? ulas is still part of davao city. even if you travel 1 hour away to the south, or to the north or central part, its still part of davao city. its the world's largest city (in terms of geography).

whats your reason in going to ulas? ulas is a mix of residential and industrial (several factories are here - coke is the known landmark), with black sand beaches as well. its better if you take city proper hotels and just go to ulas by day. i cant think of any reasons for you to stay at night. i have several friends living in neighboring cities an hour away and just go to davao city to party/gimik/shop then back home early in the morning. if you cant be specific, then its hard to help you in detail

reason is i need to see this person that i met for a month.
things happened so fast and the whole situation is just very complicated.
i just need to see this person, and hopefully we will go back to cebu together so i think i might need to spend a night or two in a hotel.
i dont have much money on my pocket so im thinking of the most practical way to get there.
i dont know where specifically in Ulas, but im planing to just contact the person when im there... so that's it. i'll go there, ready for rejection or whatver that will happen. it's really crazy but if i dont do this then i feel like will regret forever. so there you go.
