dili tanan computer stores makahatag ug on the spot warranty. I mean replacement sa imong parts nga defective. Kung naa experience share it good or bad.

Yes as a shop ill tell you that we cfant because we have to return the item to our distributor so that they will be the one to replace it for you. But there are some bigger shops who themselves are importing items on their own, that they can get you immediate replacement, thats if they have stock of the item.
Hope this helps! Please edit your thread subject to small caps. Thanks!
thanks for the reply. I have several cases about claiming a warranty. dugay kaayo and sometimes dili pa dyud mao ang model number sa item. I will not mention lang the shops. Pwede diay na kung unsa imo item nga gi-buy lain ang e-replace? Dili nalang sila mo ask for advise about how about upgrade your item kay wala na available sa specific item. Items like ASUS mobo and ATI Sapphire videocard.
Nope kana dili na pwede. They have to notify you before doing anything. If that is the case wherein wala na available nga part then you can replace it with any part of your choice with the same value as what you have bought.
There are some computer shop limit there AWR (Advance Warranty Replacement) up to 3Months(depende sa item). Within AWR period they will replace u Right away..that if they have the same stock to replace you, but if none you can upgrade with no less with your pricipal amount. after 3months or out of AWR period that would be the time to pull-out the item as Ryn said...."but" they have only 1month to provide you the item.. human ana kun dili sila maka provide sa imo or maka replace sa item you can demand to upgrade with-out less with your pricipal amount.
Hope this help....
when you say maka "demand to upgrade" .. naa ni sa law?
That would be applicable only to those shop who offer it. Just try to asked them if they have this warranty policy. As a customer it would be nice and Right to understand first the shop warranty policy before purchasing an item, for the purpose of misunderstanding (might lead to shop bad reputation) to any risk happen within the period of warranty.Originally Posted by [DSX]

Almost all shop talks about on the spot replacement of parts.
THIS IS NOT TRUE !!!
Ok ! my first case is that my A7V8X-X mobo is defective. Then they replace me with A7V8X only which a downgrade of what i've purchase. It took me 3 weeks to have the wrong item and it is used. I again claim about the status of what i've recieved and it took me 2 weeks again to wait and at last it is NEW and it is A7V8X-X.
This happens in Thinking Tools Inc.
My 2nd case now is about ATI Sapphire 9200 128mb / 128bit is defective and need to be replace. They inform me that they will replace it with ATI Sapphire 9200 SE 128mb / 64bit ( A DOWNGRADE AGAIN ). I ask what if I will upgrade it to ATI 9550 128mb or 256mb / 128bit. How much cash I will add to make make this deal possible.
My video is still in Banbros i don't know what is in their brains.
naa man sad uban shops nga mo replace jud ug tarong like arctech, insotech & PCHUbs.
Ang warranty mag depende ra jud na sa shops kung mag tinarong sila pag ilis.
