Watch out for issues which will incriminate your immediate supervisor or boss. First of all, you are reporting to them. You've gotta choose your answers well from audit, or from the other department. Plus, when you answer them, never disagree or say 'no' directly.
Welcome to the real world office politics. Your boss harassing you? Doing something that is inappropriate? Power tripping? Whatever you do, don't be a snitch on your boss or immediate superior. Do your best to be on the "right" side of your boss and not against him/her. Know his birthday, wife birthday, kids birthday, favorite gadgets, movies. Pa cute, pa guapo, pa guapa, pa sexy... "Kiss ass" is how others call it or be the YES man. You wish they teach this in college huh? You have no choice. As long as he/she is within the legal boundaries he/she can do what he/she wants. That's how office politics work. Example. If I'm your boss, I can hand over my tasks which I should be doing to you. I can relax all day or enjoy my coffee and at the end of the day, take all the credits for doing a job well done and there's nothing you can do about it. Hate me all you want. Just don't make it obvious to me because if you do, its you who will suffer in the end. How? I can make your everyday work hell for you by piling all the tasks on you. Give you a memo the moment you do something stupid. With enough memos I can fire you legally. And chase you to the next job application and tell them you're no good.
Sucks huh? If you hate it, then switch job. Leave your current employer in good faith. If you're lucky in your next job. You might end up in a new company where everyone is new and no established trend of politics yet and your at the higher end.
If that doesn't work for you then quit your job and be your own boss and start your own business and establish your own office politics. You can't escape it. Politics is part of who we are. Even in your home, you have family politics. What do you do when you want mommy or daddy to buy you something? You start being a good boy/girl diba? That's just how it is in the office politics. Be on the good side of your superiors.
I can't stand all the office politics of my previous job so I quit my job and started my own. Now I get to do my own office politics. mmmmmwwwwahahahaha!!! the same cycle again, at least I'm on top of the food chain this time.

office politics? just deal with it when you need to, unless u think that ur opinion counts, just mind ur own business na lang. trust me, everytime you feel like saying something or choosing sides, u could be heading to more troubles. just let ur materialistic side do the talking. let them struggle with politics, as long as you get ur pay with what your supposed to do in the office, that's worth more than involving urself with things that u shouldnt even have to deal with.
Office politics. haaaaay. In my case, I just do what my tasks are, do it in quality and promptly. Defend if I have to defend my solution and still keep and open mind. Suggest solutions if I have. In short, I just did what my position says I should do and care less on stuff outside my job description. So far it worked fine with me regarding office politics.
