Default Energy crisis and the environmentalists

THESE past few weeks, Visayan Electric Company (Veco) corporate communications officer Ethel Natera has been updating members of the media, through text, on the scheduled brownouts in the company’s franchise area. Yesterday, a day-long brownout hit some parts of the province, as Cebu Electric Cooperative placed its power source and transmission lines under preventive maintenance.

The lack of power supply due to the maintenance of the Cebu-Negros-Panay grid is to blame for the recent massive brownouts in the Metro Cebu area. Normal power supply, though, is expected to be addressed within the week. In one occasion, I texted back Ethel and told her to let these so-called environmentalists solve the power shortage. She just laughed.

Sige lang yaw-yaw. walay masuggest na viable solution. renewable sources daw, like wind and solar. beh... sila magdala ug investors diri para magtukod ana. kay the government cant afford those systems pa man.

Bwahahaha!
