This morning I played "OO" by Up Dharma Down again and again... why? because the song has an impact... My friend, who's also a member of a certain band in Manila sent this to me a month ago he said that I should listen to it coz the song is nice daw. He sent it through YM coz yahoo messenger has this feature where you can send files... and when I checked the file title, honestly I said " ayyy, Up Dharma?" I frowned kasi i'm into hip hop... so it took me 3 days of convincing myself that I should listen to it, so finally i've decided, I hit my recycle bin (I delete it from my received files kasi) restored the file, played the song and for whatever reason... the song sends shiver down to my spine and I almost cried. I really like it a lot, I can feel the pain of losing someone that you really love. So I checked their profile and get to see them being interviewed by Iya of Myx so Up Dharma Down is my favorite band now, they're unique for a reason.
Up Dharma Down is a Filipino band that recently won the In The Raw Award at the recent NU 107 Rock Awards. They are known for their fusing of Rock-Jazz-Acid-Electronica style of music. The sudden keyboards, guitars and drums make Up Dharma Down's beats very catchy. Armi Millare is the the vocalist, she is really amazing, and she's really gifted with that kind of voice... Armi’s deceptively harmless demeanor ill prepares an audience for the sheer power of her voice—the snarl and bite of it, its distinctively feminine almost-ferocity, tempered by her sure control and a certain quality of hypnotic smoothness. Dharma means law of life, a law that connects everything in existence no matter how diverse they are. This is how they explains their music, very unique...

i like the guitar effects that interact with the electronica drumbeat (and yes, the group didn't use synthesizer for this.

Somewhat similar to DRIP. another pinoy cool band.
