why don't you try asking canon tech support (if the a400 supports this brand and capacity of storage). hehehehe.. or the store where you bought your camera from

@Otis : Hope this will not create a grudge between us.... i appreciate your help.. thanks ... unfortunately i found out that canon will prefer their own product, and the largest capacity they have for SD card is 256 i think, so they will not prefer to support or answer queries of other brands of SD ...
