my computer has a virus and my scanner won't function...tne status is "urgent attention"

what should i do?

remove the hard drive

run a clean Windows XP

and put the infected drive as a secondary( what i mean it should not be the C: anymore......)

the more the C: is being accessed the more the virus can spread.....

its better to use another clean pc....

What I do is make bootable repairable winxp(modified and striped-down) cdrw, with a battery of virus scanners with the latest updates, from a clean pc. Less hassle and reusable too
