Going to Maasin next weekend. I'd welcome travel tips from someone who's been there. (travel and lodging)

i would suggest you rename your thread to maasin, southern leyte because the city, although part of the island of leyte, is part of the province of southern leyte. it might cause confusion.

daghan nag lodging places sa so. leyte esp sa maasin kay bustling city na xa. it's obviously way cheaper than cebu. try touring the province. as in abot sa eastern side sa may sugod ai. naa tikitiki (whale sharks) although seasonal na xa. adto sad sa limasawa.

Wee!i've been there.. Nice kau ang mama mary's shrine..ma mesmerize jud ka sa view.. Nagstay me sa dw pension which is duol lng sa shrine ug sa provincial hospital nla.

Glad you like Maasin city. Actually, there are a lot of things to discover this humble city in So. Leyte. Mama Mary's Shrine, Monte Cueva Chapel, Cagnituan Underground River, Hanginan Church, Maasin Cathedral, among others. There are also resorts in nearby towns, not to mention known destination like Canigao Island, Tangkaan Beach, Limasawa Island, floating cottages in Bontoc...etc. Sayang lang coz wa kaayo ma promote ang Maasin.
