EVGA shows a new X58 classified motherboard

The new EVGA X58 Classified 4WAY SLI should bring some joy to Folding@Home fans, but the bad side of the story is that it needs a PC chassis that has at least ten expansion slots as this one is based on XL-ATX form factor. The motherboard is based on Intel's X58/ICH10R chipset, has a 10+3-phase power design, and supports Intel's Core i7 processors. It will probably have two NF200 chips in order to get those seven PCI-Express x16/x8 slots running and feature six memory slots for up to 24GB of DDR3 1600MHz+ triple channel fun.

The rest of the specifications include support for 2-way, 3-way and 4-way SLI, twelve USB 2.0 port, two FireWire and two Gigabit LAN ports, eight SATA II and one eSATA port as well as the integrated 7.1-channel audio.

The feature list continues with EVGA Vdroop control, EVGA Dummy OC, EVGA E-LEET tuning utility, EVGA EZ Voltage read points, PCIe disable jumpers, on board CPU temperature monitor, EVGA ECP V2 support and EVGA EVbot support.

EVGA tops again. That's a lot of PCI-E.

same ra gihapon ma cover ang 2nd slot per video card murag 3-4 video cards ra gihapon ma gamit in total especially 285's or 4890's.. an example, quad 4890 + on the OLD 3-WAY E759/E760/E761 classified:




you should know video cards right now take up to 2 slots, so when you plug the first video card on the first pcie 2.0 @ 16x it will block the 2nd pcie 16x, if you put another video card on the 3rd, it will block the pcie slot on the 4th.. and that goes on.
