PS2 slim or PS3 ?

since Sony just released a new PS3 'slim', i thought about getting one, since i neither have any of these consoles. The problem is; which one?

since mahal kaayo ang orig nga games, i would prefer a console nga mu basa ug dili original.

ang PS3 naa ba backwards capability? pwede ba ni mu basa ug PS2 nga games?

ps3 slim cannot play ps2 games...only the older obese ps3 models (40GB) can play ps2 games, but those had been discontinued. like you said, if you prefer a console that can play "jack sparrow" media, then go for ps2 or even a 360...

are the fat ones still being sold here, those that can read Ps2 games that aint original?

if you really want the ps3, then go for it...its worth your bucks.
as far as I know, ps3's aren't modded yet - so regardless if the unit is backwards compatible, the ps3 cannot play "jack sparrow" games, although it can play "sparrow" DVD movies...
