this sounds like a heat issue.

try opening your case and check if your cpu fan is still spinning. Also, dust might be causing the overheating issue.

bag-o pa ni limpyo ako computer last month lang. ESETNOD32 pud ang anti-virus ani karon, updated pud ako Norton which recently gi-delete naku kay nag-error after system restore.

fully scan na pud ni sya. wala may virus. andar man pud ang fan ani sa computer. unsa pa lain na possible solution ani.

if sure ka na di software related sya... hardware related na... like heat or insufficient power...

    hardware related if:
    1. it restarts while you were doing CPU or GPU intensive programs.
    2. especially when your PSU is generic and old... capacitors degrade with respect to time...
    3. you added new components and notice it shuts down after certain minutes after boot.

try exchanging a higher rated PSU...
or disable your cathode lights... disconnect a few case fan (open side panel)... and disconnect your floppy and CD and DVD drives... if mu function xa flawlessly... PSU problem jud na...

    good luck!~

what did u do before the imu problem ni occur?

if dli gani sa heat issue or fail psu power output,

    1. try testing the integrity sa imu memory bro, use memtest or other memory testing software.
ther are times teh system will automatically restart nd dumps, if the system access / try to use the blocks na defective, memory arent same as hdd, when hdd scanned for bad blocks, i mark mana sa system na bad so skip lang siya pra dli ma access, but in memory as RAM = volatile memory / temporary, dli dyud na ma mark, if bad blok =bad blok dyud.

    2. try to diagnose / scan ur hdd for bad blocks, a basic windows chkdsk / scandisk utility will do.
same sa ako giingon ganina, in case of hdd when ur system is accessing a bad sector, duha ray symptom ana, redundant access sa sector which causes the system to operate slowly kai iya man balik2x kon ug read katong sector until maread niya = hdd led blinks always like forever, and 2nd wud be mu restart lang ug kalit.

    3. try to check ur mobo caps if dli ba busted / blotted.

can u post detailed specs sa imu pc (hardware nd software, temperature nd mobo voltage = use everest)?

if all fails, contact lang local technical support.

    sir,
during starting up, press F8 then select "Disable automatic restart..."
to make sure na software related siya. If mo restart na siya with BSOD (Blue Screen of Death)
with error something.. take note of the error:
although their are BSOD that are also related to hardware issues.

if no BSOD, mostly hardware related either defective/loose/heat problem.

troubleshoot hardware parts one at time,
and always be aware of the temperature.

parihas lagi na sa ako bro!..
safe mode ra xa kotob, nya mo restart dayon,,
nya akong g re install ang pc, dili na xa mo continue ug install, mag blue screen xa. nya naay eror(i forgot the error code).

    sayang ayo oist......
    help!
