Help, my Program Listy in Start Menu was lost.

Because of my st*p*d*ty, I accidentally deleted the folder "Program" in the Start Menu and accidentally deleted it in the Recycle Bin.

After I turn Off and On the PC, pooof, the Program List in the Start Menu was Lost and the Start Up program was not able to run too.

Anybody here can help me how to retrieve the Program List and the Start Up?

The program list is just a shortcut files.

The original files are located in your C:\Program Files directory.

How to Restore Windows XP to a Previous State

    Restoring a Restore Point

    1. Go into the Start Menu and All Programs
    2. Go to Accessories
    3. Go to System Tools
    4. Click on System Restore (System Restore will open)
    5. Select Restore My Computer to an Earlier Time and click Next
    6. The calendar can be used to search for the Point you want to restore. Normally, this should be the last Point created when your computer was functioning properly.
    7. Click on your saved restore point and click Next
    8. You will be shown a confirmation page
    9. Close all windows and then click Next
    10. The Restore Process will start and your system will reboot

Note: If you can't get Windows started normally to get to System Restore, follow these instructions:

    1. Start the computer. The computer begins processing a set of instructions known as the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS). What is displayed depends on the BIOS manufacturer. Some computers display a progress bar that refers to the word BIOS, while others may not display any indication that this process is happening.
    2. As soon as the BIOS has finished loading, begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. Continue to do so until the Windows Advanced Options menu appears. If you see the Windows splash screen, you’ve proceeded too far. Press the reset button or power off the computer and try again.
    3. Using the arrow keys on the keyboard, scroll to and select the "Last Known Good Configuration" (your most recent settings that worked) and press Enter.
